The Museum of Fine Arts, located on Huntington Avenue in Boston, has now partnered with Lasell to grant all students free admission as long as students bring their Torch Card to the ticket desk, where they will be given a general admission ticket.
I know for myself, I enjoyed going to the MFA. I went by myself on a Sunday morning, and arrived there by taking the Green Line on the T to Boston, and it is something everyone should do at least once.

Listening to music and looking at all the art was very relaxing and a great way to take a break from the everyday hectic college student life.
The MFA could also make a really fun adventure with your friends and a fun photo opportunity. The museum is just a train ride away from Lasell, and since it is now free, it is perfect for a college student with not a lot of money to spend but still looking to have fun.
For our fashion students, there is a collection of textiles and clothes to enjoy and learn from. The Museum of Fine Arts could be worth taking a class trip to, as it has many valuable and interesting forms of art to look at and admire.
For students taking art classes, they can use the works there as references for projects and inspiration for their own work.
The MFA has collections from Africa and Oceania, America, the art of Ancient Egypt, Nubia, and the Near East. Also, the MFA offers pieces from Ancient Greece and Rome, from Asia and Europe.

My personal favorite is the Europe collection, featuring some of my favorite pieces like Monet’s water lilies and Renoir’s ‘Dance of Bougival,’ but it also showcases many more pieces demonstrating the vast history of the arts in Europe.
The art from Ancient Egypt and from Asia is also a top contender for my favorite. Ancient Egypt features mummies, jewelry, and different works of art often pictured on stone. The Asia collection is full of glassware and many different Buddha statues that I could look at for days.
Ancient Greece and Rome are the sections to be in if you want to see marble statues and figure heads, as well as coins and pottery from that time period.
If jewelry is something you are interested in, MFA also has collections of jewelry from different places and times to enjoy.
The Museum of Fine Arts is definitely worth a visit for any Lasell student!
